Maluhia Summer Camp program by submitting a Camp

and receipt of deposit will be made by the
Maui County Council Scout Office.
Payment in full must be paid with
the Camp Maluhia Fee Transmittal Form

Roster and merit badge preference list.

Camp
Maluhia Fees
Summer Camp fees are reviewed and
approved annually by the Maui
County Council Executive Board prior to November
1st of each year.
Careful consideration of current economics, operating costs,
and donations
to Maui County Council through Friends of Scouting (F.O.S.), United Way,
unit service, in kind donations, and availability and use of various campership
programs. Every effort is made
to keep the cost of camping at Camp Maluhia
to a minimum while offering one of
the finest programs available to Scouts.

Summer Camp Fee Policy
| Deposit |
A non-refundable deposit is needed for preliminary registration. One leaders
guide will be provided to each unit by December 1st of
the summer camp year following initial registration.

| March 31 |
A payment per camper
must be
paid
to hold
registration. Adjustments may be made as needed
and space availability for new Scouts.

| May 31 |
All fees must be paid by
June 15th.
To ensure a quality camp experience for all campers, contact the Council Service Center
as soon as you know of any changes.
|
| Refunds |
A refund of 50% of
camp fees will be made to
those who notify the Maui
County Council Service Center 30 days prior to the
start
of the summer camp. There can be no refunds on the
transportation
segment.

Transportation
to Camp Maluhia
Each Unit is responsible for
their own air transportation.
Arrangements
need to be made with the Council Office to allow for
scheduling of the Bus
Transportation Service (see Bus Transportation).
It is recommended that flights be confirmed at least 24 hours in
advance before scheduled departure to ensure availability of flights
into
Kahului Airport.
For those units providing
transportation to and from camp, please
remember that under no
circumstances are individuals allowed
to ride in the back of a truck, trailer,
or camper.
Private and rental
vehicles will not be permitted past the front
gate of Camp.
For Safety reasons, Boy Scout Policy states that only
camp vehicles or
emergency vehicles are allowed into camp. The Camp
Maluhia parking lot is
located directly outside of the front gate to camp.
All camp gear will be
unloads/loaded in the parking lot and transported
by campers to their assigned
campsite. A clear driving lane must
be maintained at all times for
emergency use and camp vehicles.
American Disabilities Act (ADA, 1990)
accommodations will be made
as appropriate.

Bus
Transportation
Any arrangements for bus
transportation between the airport and camp
must be made through the Council Service Center by July 1st.
To
assist the camp in the coordination of these trips, please schedule
your arrival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, and your departure
from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the following Saturday. Check-in begins
on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Fees are
per person roundtrip.
Maui Residents desiring the use of
this service may also
make reservations, although all transportation services will begin
and end at the Kahului Airport.

Housing
Campers at Camp Maluhia will may
choose from has 3 sub-camps
for their camping experience. All three sub-camps have
toilet and
shower facilities and a cook shed. A mattress is provided at the
beginning of the summer for each bunk in camp. In accordance with
Boy Scouts
of America policy, a minimum of two leaders must camp
with their unit. It is recommended that units with 20 or more
Scouts have an additional
leader for every 10 Scouts or part thereof.
