Fall Membership Drive
All units are reminded
that the sign of a healthy unit is one that grows due
to their members wanting to share the experience with others.
Each and
every unit should challenge their members to invite at least 2 new members
to join your unit, and if only half of them actually join, you have just
doubled
those youth that will grow from our great Scouting Program.
Contact the
Council Service Center to make arrangements to provide flyers to hand out
to students in your school.
Trails End Gourmet Popcorn
Sale --
This year is another
year of selling popcorn to the community as a fundraiser
for our council and our units. Previously, 15 units split $9,000 in commission
as their share of the sales profit. This
year, we will again host a kick off party
to help everyone know about the product
and the
prizes that the boys can earn.

Cub Scout Leader Training –
The way to make
your job as a leader easier, and the way to make certain that
your youth have the best possible program is to have trained leaders.
Scouting
has been going on for over 90 years and our trainers can help you
understand
more about the program and techniques that others have found to be
successful
in running their units. It only
takes 5 hours of your time, yet it will save you time
and frustration down the road.
Trainings are going on both in Lahaina and
Wailuku.
Camp Maluhia Work Day –
Twice a year we
have dedicated special days at Camp Maluhia to make some
improvements and to clean up camp. Painting, plumbing, carpentry, and
various
other tasks. Contact the Council Service Center to have you and/your unit
participate in this month's workday.
Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament
-
Eight top 20 Collegiate
teams come to Maui to participate in the Maui Invitational
Basketball Tournament at the Lahaina Civic Center. Our Council sells the
soda,
water, juice, programs, and various other items to raise money. Come join
the fun
and see top quality basketball.
